Stick with the Wickeds Contest

Jessie: Welcoming flocks of robins back to New Hampshire

The Malice Domestic Conference is almost here. Since all the Wickeds are going to be able to attend, we are once again running a contest to take one of our readers with along with us, well, sort of.

IMG_4748Last year we took Reine Harrington along with us on a stick. This year’s Guest of Honor is NYT Bestseller Charles Todd, the creator of the  Bess Crawford novels and the Ian Rutledge books. If you would like to have the opportunity to have as much fun as Reine did last year, then this is the contest for you! Here’s how it works:

Just leave a comment on any of the blog posts scheduled between today and Friday, April, 17 to be entered into the drawing. If you are chosen as the winner all we’ll need from you is your photo in jpeg format and a list of five authors attending this year’s Malice Domestic Conference whose autograph you would like us to ask for on your behalf.IMG_3730

We’ll announce the winner on April, 20. Best of luck to you all!

  1. I’ll be at Malice but I could always use a clone or a stick person so I can be in 2 places at once. (Maybe stick me can get me lunch on Sat. when I run out to a comic book store for Comic Book Day :-). This didn’t work last year when I tried it but all the Wickeds knew who I was when I told them I entered the contest.

  2. I went to Bouchercon last year but this is a stay-at-home year so YES I would love to be on a stick!!

  3. I’ll be at Malice, so don’t include me in the drawing. I wanted to let you know what a clever and sweet idea this is. It will be such a thrill for a fan who won’t be at Malice.

  4. One of these years, I’m going to make it to Malice. Unfortunately, I only do one conference a year. 2016 is Left Coast Crime in Phoenix. 2017 is Bouchercon. Maybe 2018? In the meantime, I’ll take a conference on a stick!

  5. I’d love to attend Malice this year, but since I can’t do it in person, could I be on a stick (please don’t make it a broomstick; mine is in the shop for repairs!)?

  6. I would love to attend Malice, in person or on a stick. I just remembered the story about the man being ridden out of town on a rail who said, “If it weren’t for the honor of the thing, I’d just as soon walk.” (used that once at a meeting when we were told we’d been specially selected to be the teachers for a very difficult student ;-0

  7. I love this idea and I enjoyed my turn at being a stick at a conference. Good luck to everyone.

  8. Reblogged this on F4l ~ FLECK and commented:
The Wicked Cozy Authors pioneered going to a conference on a stick. Can’t make it to Malice Domestic this year? Head over to their blog to see how you can go with them!

  9. <3 I think Dru went last year. I was two years ago. What a great time!

Oh no, That means I have been working on the same book for almost two years!

  10. I’d dearly love to go! Two reasons—Writes of Passage is up for an Agatha and I have an essay in it. I’d love to be there if it wins (even if it doesn’t). Also, anthology Fish or Cut Bait will be introduced and I have a story in it. Okay, lots of other reasons too, but those are the best ones.

  11. Since I am not able to attend this year in person, attending on the stick would be a lovely alternative. I can probably even arrange for the the stick to get a free drink courtesy of the Guppies {not that y’all should consider that a bribe or anything–just saying 🙂 }

I’m sure you all will have a great time.

  12. It would be Wicked awesome, to be on a stick with all of you!

  13. I will be away on vacation, during Malice, & regret that I can’t be there with Sherry for all of the Agatha accolades. I wish I could be next to her at the banquet!

  14. I had so hoped to attend Malice this year, even had the hotel reservation, but work on my house is eating up the budget. I would love to be the honored fan on a stick this year and live vicariously through you wonderful ladies! I know that you all will have loads of fun.

  15. Gosh! I live vicariously through your blog, so this would be perfect! If I win and provide an amusing picture, could it be called “Schtick on a Stick?” Have fun at the conference and congrats to the all of the Cozy nominees!
