Recapping 2016 and Looking Forward to 2017

You know, dear readers, we Wickeds haven’t been blogging together all that long. Four years this May, is that right? And though Jessie, Barb and Edith (aka Tace Baker) had published books prior to the Wickeds forming, this blog coincided with the launching of several series. 2016 was a bumper crop for all of us, and 2017 promises to top this year. So we thought today we’d celebrate this past year, and give you some books to look forward to in 2017.

Readers: What’s on your docket for this year’s reading? And were you able to keep up with all our 2016 publications? (Don’t worry, it’s not quiz!)

30 Thoughts

  1. This was great. I was able to update my book list with the 2017 titles I didn’t already have. Yes, I’m up to date with all 2016 books that I’ve read. And I love that I see new series coming from this group.

  2. Wow! What a great 2016 and 2017 is looking even better. What’s on my reading docket it a lot of books by the looks of your lists! 🙂 2016 was a great year for me and I don’t want to overstep but I’ve been enjoying your blog daily, I feel right at home here so I’m bursting to share good news – just before Christmas I sold my cozy mystery series. 3 book deal. Okay, that’s all I’ll say here because this is your home on the web not mine. I’m so ready for 2017!

      1. Thank you! The first book will be released in early 2018 from Kensington. It’s a culinary cozy set in a fictional CT town. I’m beyond thrilled.

      1. Thank you, Sheila. I’m reading Buried in a Bog and I’m loving it. I wasn’t even half-way through when I ordered book 2 and I’m waiting for it to arrive so I can have it ready to read when I’m done with book 1. 🙂

  3. Sherry Harris, it is all you fault!!! I don’t have enough time to keep up with all the authors I have been following and then you introduced me to Wicked Cozy Authors. Love that books I have read and dying to read the rest.

  4. There’s some exciting news there like a second Granite State Mystery. Glad I read the first one last month!

Looking forward to all of these 2017 releases.

  5. May I mention that Book #4 in my Witch City Mystery series will release January 31? It’s Murder Go Round. Book #5, Grave Errors comes out next August! Writing as fast as I can!

    Carol

  6. The highlight of 2016 for me was meeting so many of you at Bouchercon in New Orleans.
I read most of the books listed about or will read them this year. I read over 100 books in 2016.

  7. Thanks for providing your 2016 and 2017 titles. I am glad to meet most of you in person at last year’s NOLA Bouchercon. I have read some of the Wickeds and others are on my teetering TBR mountain. And now I have 2017 titles to add to my TBR list…thanks for so many wonderful reads!
