Wickeds: Both these books are set in eating establishments. What’s your favorite café or breakfast and lunch restaurant? What do you like to order?
Jessie: Because I live in such a small community I don’t really have a local breakfast place or even a cafe. I do love to visit cafes whenever I travel, especially if there is a view of the street or outside tables to enjoy a spot of people-watching! I order a double espresso and enjoy taking my time sipping it and watching the world go by.
Sherry: Congratulations on the new books! We have a locally owned restaurant called Spartans. They have everything from great Greek food, to pizza, to all kinds of sandwiches, and beyond. I love their chicken souvlaki which comes on pita.They only serve breakfast on Saturday and Sunday but you can’t go wrong.
Barb: I am in book jail and have been pining to go out and explore more establishments in our new city of Portland, Maine. So far, I have lots of favorites. The Blue Spoon is a place where we’ve taken lots of visitors. My favorite dish there is chicken-under-a-brick.
Edith: Thanks dear Wickeds! Of course, I’d prefer to eat at Pans ‘N Pancakes, Robbie Jordan’s place. But since it’s fictional, I’ll opt for Market Square Bakehouse a block from my house in one of the former mill buildings. You can sit outside and people watch, enjoy a good coffee and pastry, and even do some work. I also love any breakfast joint that makes really good crispy shredded hash browns.

Right now we are in Gloucester MA – Charlie’s on Bass Rocks, George’s or Two Sisters on Washington Street. I went to Two Sisters yesterday with my own sister and discovered that Two Sisters was being sold. I was sad until I found out that it was being sold to . . . two more sisters.

Book birthdays are so exciting, and a double one among friends–all the better! For book related breakfasts here in Florida, I usually meet writer-friends at any Panera. For a serious, real breakfast and maybe a bit more caloric one, it’s the Frog Pond on Gulf Boulevard. Redington Beach.

Forge Village Breakfast in Westford makes the greatest Irish Benedicts we have found, and we tried many.
I’d love to try that! What’s the Irish part?
It’s made with corned beef hash instead of ham or Canadian bacon.

I'd have to say my favorite restaurant is Outback purely because we have to be traveling to eat at one since the nearest one is 2 hours away. So it means we not only get great food we love but that we are enjoying some away time as a couple.
On a more local bases, it would have to be The Rainbow Cafe here in town. They are a Mom and Pop operation that still cooks with local ingredients when possible and things are cooked as you order. Definitely not fast food but well worth the wait. Can't think of anything on the menu that we don't love. It's the only place I know that I can still get the fried dill pickle spears instead of slices, fried grits and chocolate gravy on Sunday. 🙂

I love breakfast out and am not picky about the location. My favorite is anyplace with good, crispy, shredded, hash browns! Let’s hear it for Denny’s!

We occasionally go to a local diner for breakfast after Sunday church and my husband goes there frequently to meet up with a friend – Freedom Diner. But if I could go anywhere, it would definitely be Pamela’s for their wonderful soft middle/crispy edge pancakes swimming in butter and syrup!

Hi Barb. My family is from the Portland area and I visit as often as I can. There is a wonderful Middle Eastern restaurant called the Babylon. Amazing food! On Fridays and Saturdays they have an all you can eat buffet. Their address is 1192 Forest Avenue. If you want authentic Middle Eastern food this is the p,ace to go! 😃

I love going out to breakfast. Among my favorites are Hill Street Cafe and The Dish, both in La Canada, CA. But hometown has to be Casa del Rey in Temple City before they closed and moved two towns away.
I don’t think I ever went out to breakfast at home … except for iHop!

We have so many wonderful choices of “neat” places to eat here in Lancaster. One of our favorites is Cafe Chocolate in Litiiz. It’s across the street from our favorite indie bookstore, Aaron’s. The cafe has wonderful all organic, delicious small entrees for both breakfast and lunch. Many items incorporate chocolate into them in surprising ways. Comfy, cozy, and quirky.

I don’t tend to go out for breakfast or lunch. There is such a cafe near me I keep thinking about checking out, but there is usually a long wait when I stop that shopping center by for other reasons.
I love omelette. And anything to hold maple syrup, although it needs to be real maple syrup.

I no longer live near my favorite cafe. It’s Literati Cafe in Los Angeles. I haven’t found a new favorite yet, but I’ve had fun searching for a new place.
