Cover Reveal! And a Giveway

By Liz, trying to hold on to every last moment of summer

I was really struggling to find a super compelling topic for today’s blog. The bad news is, I couldn’t think of one. The good news, I didn’t need one because my new cover showed up in my inbox and I thought it was the perfect opportunity to give you all a sneak peek!

How much do you love this cover!! It is my favorite one so far. It’s got everything that I love – yoga, orange cats, gongs, a zen garden…and butterflies. Butterflies have been showing up a lot for me lately, and I thought it was totally a sign when I saw them all over the cover!

Now, I just need to finish the book…

Tell me in the comments what your favorite part of the cover is, and I’ll give away one copy of Claws For Alarm.

  1. Love the cover and favorite part is the cat on the yoga mat. Do you have a release date?
Did you know that your name and the name of the book series all begin with the letter “C”

  2. JJ of course is the best part- but I love hid picture in the circle under the title! The butterflies are pretty and are those rain drops splashing? Can’t wait to read this.

  3. Love it! Kitty doing downward dog is my favorite, yoga gives it a relaxing feel but I’m sure there’s a good mystery to come! Now, just a question for you: why do authors use pseudonyms? Is it because you have different series under different names?

    1. Thanks, Kathy! There are lots of reasons. For me, it was because I had different publishers. But now they are both using the name Cate, so who knows…

  4. Everything on the cover works so well together that it’s the whole package that grabs your attention at first. When I start to examine all the details, I love the koi pond and how the cat, although doing yoga, seems to be keeping his eye on the fish. As a nature lover, love the addition of the butterflies. As a bell collector who has everything from the small bells to Navy ship deck bells, 317 lb. brass railroad bells to several large church bells, the first thing I noticed and loved was the gong thinking how well it would work into my collection.

There’s no doubt in my mind that “Gone But Not Furgotten” is going to be a fabulous, must-read book.

Thank you for the chance to win a copy of “Claws For Alarm”. Shared and hoping to be the fortunate one selected.

  6. Hi Liz! Beautiful cover!!! By looking at details one can guess what fun mystery the book may enTAIL. My favorite part of the cover is the kitty stretching as though in a yoga position….and he is ‘casing’ the Koi in the pond… Can’t wait…when is GONE BUT NOT FURGOTTEN coming out to delight us? Thank you!

  7. While I love the cat because, well, cats and dogs are special to me, I like the gong the best. I picked it because it’s the first time I’ve seen a gong on any book before. It could be a sign that this book is unlike any other just like the cover. I wish you well with the newest release.

  8. I first looked for a singing bowl, but the gong is definitely a good sign. Love the cover and love the series.

  9. Lovely cover! Now go finish the book so I can read it. (And I already have Claws, so no need to enter me.)

  10. Love the cover! My favorite part of the cover is the orange cat. I have an orange cat and he is sweet and loveable as can be.

  11. Hi, your cover is Beautiful , I love everything about it! I love the surroundings, all the greenery, the butterflies , the cat stretching and keeping an eye on the Koi in the pond, I love it all! Have a great weekend and stay safe.

  12. I like the Koi pond. I use to have one but egrets got them so changed to goldfish and they stayed safe.

  13. I love the butterflies and how adorable the cat looks with its downward dog stretch on the exercise mat. I also love the colors used. So bright and cheery!

  14. I love everything about this book cover. My favorite is the butterflies. My brother passed away a while ago and since then I have seen so many 🦋. I think it’s a sign. Good luck with the book. Can’t wait to read it.

  15. My favorite thing on the cover is the Yoga cat…so cute! Thanks for the chance!!

  16. The critter in the background: is it a fox? a cat? coming or going? My aging eyes cannot tell and I am intrigued.
