I have to say, I really enjoy these characters, and I’m happy to introduce soap star Melanie Ashley (yes, she knows her name is ridiculous, but it seemed like a good idea to her at the time). Melanie actually first appeared in an as-yet-unpublished romance manuscript of mine as a throwaway character. But all of a sudden, I don’t recall when, Melanie spoke to me (the old Voices in the Head thing we authors all get) and told me who she really was. And all of a sudden, I knew how she fit into this story. We’ll see if that romance ever comes to light, then you’ll get to see her cameo 🙂
