Cozy Capers Cover Reveal & #Giveaway!

Edith here, feeling a little like a truck hit me – but in a good way!

This has been a record-breaking year for me, bookwise. As of tomorrow, five books of mine will have been published since January.

In order of release starting clockwise from Murder on Cape Cod.

Whew. And now I won’t have a new book out until March, although Murder on Cape Cod goes to wide release on New Year’s Eve. All you Kindle readers and dedicated Amazon shoppers can finally dive in.

So I thought I’d show you the cover for my next mystery, which is book two in the Cozy Caper Book Group Mysteries.

Do you love the cover as much as I do? Here’s an early blurb:

It’s August, full season on Cape Cod, with plentiful sunshine and tourists alike. When Mac Almeida heads out for her early daily walk with her friend, she finds a horrified Gin staring at Beverly Ruchart, an imperious summer person, dead on the sidewalk in front of Gin’s candy shop, Salty Taffy’s.

Lots of people wanted Beverly gone. But when the police find the murder weapon in Gin’s garage, the Cozy Capers book group members put their heads together to clear Gin’s name and to figure out who killed the woman whom almost everyone disliked. Mac’s bike shop is vandalized one night, and when the killer later invades her tiny house to finish her off, Bella, Mac’s African Gray parrot, comes to the rescue.

Murder at the Taffy Shop will again be on a one-year exclusive at Barnes & Noble, and you can preorder yours now! Book three in the series (possibly titled Murder at the Lobstah Shack) is next up on my schedule to write, and it’ll take place in the fall.

To celebrate this banner year, I’ll give one lucky commenter the book of your choice from my 2019 selection.

Readers: What’s your good news, small or large?

  1. You’ve definitely been busy this year, Edith! I would say I’m happy you finally have some downtime, but I suspect you’ll be working just as hard even though your next book doesn’t come out for a while. And I love your new cover!

My good news is that my mom, who fell critically ill, is now stable and doing better. I’m so grateful she survived. And now with a mind that’s less worried, I have gotten back to reading. 😊

  7. My good news is that my Mom’s health is so much better. She was almost housebound for a whole year and finally a Dr. figured out she was dangerously anemic! She had a blood transfusion of 4 pints and now is off all oxygen and has so much more energy! Also, it is finally Fall today! Now if the weather would just catch up and be Fall! 🙂 Love the book cover! Thanks for the chance!

  10. Wow, Edith! Your fingers must be worn down to nubs! Yesterday I had 2 bits of good news: Cortland apples are ready at the orchard store and I saw a cardinal while I was taking my walk. I often hear them but to see them up close is very special. He hopped from branch to branch not far from where I stood still. Too bad my phone had died and I couldn’t take a picture.

  12. So much good news this year for us. We had a fabulous trip to some of the nations great parks. Hubby’s Mom just turned 90 and is doing very well. Snickerdoodle, our Chihuahua furbaby, is doing well although on insulin twice a day and will soon turn 15. My large church bells that made the move with us 3 years ago, are finally in the process of being put up in the yard (which also include two flowerbeds around the bases trimmed in the rock that the house is made of). The raised garden bed is also finished, filled with dirt and compost and waiting for next years crop. Also great news that it’s now fall meaning things will slow down with more time to read and plan our trip for next year. Best good news is that hubby and I have had no major medical issues this year.

Thank you for the fabulous opportunity to win one of your amazing books!

  13. Congratulations, Edith, on all the new books and the enjoyment they bring! The pun on The Murder at the Taffy Shop marvelous. Brought back memories of an Uncle Wiggly story about pulling taffy with the animals getting stuck and a detailed recipe in (circa 1946) The Golden Book of Christmas (not sure this is the correct title). My joy is having another day to explore and to be in.

Edith, you are amazing in the way your keep cranking out one excellent book after another. And the cover of Murder at the Taffy Shop is certainly intriguing. I want to go in the store to see what happened.

  22. Your cover is fabulous. I love all the details. The brick pathway reminds me of what I have been working on with my dad for awhile now. We laid a very large brick patio and now we are working on laying a circle driveway with brick around the edges. My good news to share is that my youngest son just got a promotion to Sous Chef at work. We are all very excited for him. Renee
PS: I’m very happy that you have had a very busy year writing for us!
