  1. I guess I like Christmas 🎄 best. I love to give gifts to many local giving trees and to see my families face when they open something special.

  3. Being hypoglycemic, I’ve lost my taste (ha!) for holidays that seem obsessed with candy and cookies. I’ve come to love the Fourth of July, hot summer days when families hang out to enjoy hot dogs and hamburgers, and the anticipation of staying up late to see a sky show. And if you’re lucky, the kids will learn a little bit about how this country got started and why.

  5. Thanksgiving and Christmas, because those are the two holidays my family still celebrate together. I love the food and closeness. Christmas also has the gifts, which I love giving and getting.

The new book size and quality sound great!

  6. Thanksgiving. It’s the kickoff to the holiday season. When I lived in South Florida I worked with several law enforcement agencies as a volunteer and would kick off the season by cooking for 20 and then having an open house for any law enforcement or first responders who had to work the holiday. If they were able to break for a meal, they were assured a hot one anytime after noon. My family and friends all showed up, each bringing something for the table, and we shared, swapped stories, and made new friends. It was delightful. We did the same for Christmas and Easter, but Thanksgiving was always special.

I still delight in making a “full” roast turkey and all the fixings Thanksgiving dinner that my husband and I, and anyone available and in need of a feed, share.

    1. I would like to thank the Wickeds and Peggy Ehrhart. I was the lucky winner of Peggy’s book and of the Thankful Thursday giveaway. That’s more luck than anyone deserves and I am honored!

  7. I absolutely love the fall season leading up to Halloween and going into Christmas. It’s a magical time of year starting with the beauty and ambiance of fall like no other season, to pumpkins and treats on Halloween with my kids and I all dressed up in cute costumes.. and then leads us into the Christmas season which we start early as it’s a beautiful time of year about love and family with many traditions we follow. 🎃🌲💜

  8. Thanksgiving is the fave for my family. We prepare thanksgiving all year round. When something is on sale that relates to Thanksgiving. We buy it. We can or freeze what can be used for thanksgiving so that when that day Finally arrives we can give a united thanks with those close by for the privilege of what we have. And the privilege of being alive. Every 5 years it is a family reunion time. Hosted each time by a different family member. Even our bachelor family member has hosted a reunion. His home is small. And depending on the weather. Depends on the venue he rents. But the year long preparation helps to ensure that we never forget that The Christ bought our hope for a real future according to the Bible’s promise of life everlasting free from sickness, hatred, death and fear. Psalms 37:9-11,29; Revelations 21:3,4.

  9. Always Christmas, celebrate our Savior but For me I love the beauty of the season. The creativity of everyone using their skills & talents to cook, bake, create decorative items to gift each other that make generational stories. From quilts to a toy to a beverage that us celebrated with each year. It brings family & friends even strangers together.

Congratulations to you all on these fabulous books.

  10. Christmas is #1! I an a full-blown sentimentalist; fir trees, bulby bright lights, sparkling ornaments … it’s like I walk around with a mug of hot chocolate for a heart the entire season.

  13. There are so many holidays on the Jewish Calendar that it is hard to choose. Purim is the story of Queen Esther who saved her people. Chanukah is the Festival of Light when a cruze of oil (enough for one day) lasted EIGHT days (long enough to produce enough to supply the Temple again).

Either one has intrigued me for most of my life.

  14. Christmas is my favorite holiday, as my daughter’s family normally visits from Zaragoza, Spain to celebrate the long holiday with her 2 sister’s families and us (the parents/grandparents.) Thanks for having this amazing giveaway & introducing us to new books &/or authors along the way. betsypz(at)yahoo(dot)com

  15. I love Halloween! I go all out decorating for it, and am sad that we won’t be handing out candy here because of Covid. I also think the Mass Max books are a great idea, especially since a lot of cozy readers are in their 40’s and older. I know I have a hard time reading paperbacks unless I have really good lighting.

  17. Our family has two favorite holidays. The first is July 4th. We always have a huge cookout, pool party and 30 minute fireworks show in our backyard after dark. Don’t worry, it’s legal in our small town.
Our other favorite holiday has to be Halloween (Samhain). As a practicing witch, Samhain is very close to my heart. We go all out and decorate the outside of our home for all of the trick or treat kiddos.r We love to make our front yard nice and scary. I love visiting my son in Salem MA during October and seeing so many of my witch friends, visiting the shops for supplies and people watching. Samhain is when the veil between the worlds of the living and the dead thins. It’s a time to visit with and honor our ancestors. There is always a Witch’s Ball and it’s an amazing celebration. It’s the Witch’s New Year.

  18. I love Christmas, so I’ve been enjoying digging into some Christmas cozies that come out next week.

Looking forward to reading a Mass Max book. Didn’t get physical arcs for these releases, so it will be next month.
