You may know Julie through her wonderful books, but Julie is also an arts advocate. We were so thrilled that Julie was named a 2018 Champion of Artists by the Massachusetts Artist Leaders Coalition. You can read more about Julie and her work in the arts here.
Julie received the award last Wednesday morning and we couldn’t be happier for her. Here’s a picture of her certificate:
We wish we could have been there to see you presented with this incredible achievement.

Thank you for your dedication to the arts. We love you.
Readers: Sherry is giving away a copy of one of her books to someone who leaves a comment. Have you ever won an award? Or just say hi or congratulate Julie!
Julie, congratulations! Without the arts, what a boring and bland life we would all have! The arts are so important to all of us, especially to the children. Thank you for all you do.
I have won music awards, many years ago.
Thank you so much! What sort of music practice do you have? The arts really do matter.
My Campanology Award from Camp Agape is probably my highest award, although I also have an Artium Barralaurrus from Washington College and numerous Certificates of Appreciation. For some reason, I am having trouble posting this morning!
I had to look up campanology. How cool is that?
Never hurts to expand one’s vocabulary!
Congratulations! Well-deserved…

Congratulations! The only awards I have received were when I was very young (spelling bee, mathematics) and employee doing above and beyond normal sales.

Congratulations Julie, & thank you for supporting the creative arts. Whether it be drawing, music, drama/theater, sculpture, the arts make us better, more rounded people. And, thanks Sherry for the giveaway.

Yay, Julie! We’re so proud of you 🙂
Congratulations Julie! I’ve won various school awards but the memory that sticks with me the most is the reading award I won in second grade. I read the most books of anyone in the school (that school went through 4th grade) that year. I had read 342 books and everyone was totally amazed that someone would read that much! Renee
Congratulations Julie. I once won the “worst driver in drivers ed” in high school. I turned the corner and headed toward a building. LOL
Congratulations the only award lately I can think of was a Lifetime membership Award given to me by a Club i did a lot of work for…and the other person initiated wit one that night was a Senator…
