Jessie: In New England, holding down the fort whilst the other Wickeds are at Malice.
With the upcoming gift-giving occasions like Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, and graduations, it occurred to me that some of us just might have enthusiastic readers to buy for. So, I decided to compile a list of some of my favorite ideas, in no particular order. I hope that you find

Readers, do you have a favorite gift to give or to receive?
Since most live in a small town, but still bigger than ours, that have a bookstore, I love to give gift certificates to them from there. To my fellow lover of reading friends and family, I’ve been told over and over that being able to buy that longed for book or even book themed items was the best gift they got for their birthday or special event. It’s a way of putting thought to meeting that person’s desires and picking out a gift all while allowing the recipient have the joy of picking out exactly what they want.

Gift certificates for book stores are the best!
Great suggestions, Jessie! For me, it’s not so much a gift, but I make a habit to let my wife know when books from her favorite authors are coming out so she can get them on Audible, then listen whenever she has the time. Most recently, I gave her a heads up about the new Sarah Strohmeyer book that came out this past Tuesday. It’s an arrangement that makes her happy. 🙂
What a lovely gift that is, J.C.!
Gift cards to bookstores are always appreciated.
I always love those too!
Over the years, I have given and received many of these items. I’m always ecstatic about finding the right thing to give to a book lover. I once won a raffle from a bookstore that included a small coffee pot, a throw, a reading light, lots of coffee and tea, a mug, bath bombs, and, of course, books and a gift certificate to the bookstore in town. That was 30 years ago, and I still remember how elated I was to win it.
That sounds like a wonderful prize!
I love to receive Amazon or Barnes and Noble gift cards so I can purchase books. My husband tries, but he always ends up getting a book that I already own or one I am not interested in reading. He has found it is easier to let me shop for myself. Thank you for sharing. God bless you.
I would have the same experience!
