Candy Kennedy is the winner of a copy of Three Shots to the Wind. I used a random number generator to pick the winner. Watch for an email from me Candy!
I’m so thrilled that Three Shots to the Wind is out today and I’m giving away a copy to celebrate! Here’s the back cover copy:
Chloe’s Windy City ex-fiancé gets blown away in the Florida panhandle . . .
DEAD EXES TELL NO TALES
Saloon owner Chloe Jackson appears to have a secret admirer. She’s pouring drinks at the Sea Glass Saloon in Emerald Cove when an airplane flies by above the beach with a banner reading I LOVE YOU CHLOE JACKSON. She immediately rules out Rip Barnett. They are in the early stages of dating and no one has said the L word. Then a bouquet of lilacs—her favorite flower—is delivered to the bar, followed by an expensive bottle of her favorite sparkling wine. It couldn’t be . . .
Sure enough, her ex-fiancé from Chicago has flown down to Florida for an accountants’ convention. But is he trying to mix business with pleasure and win her back? Unfortunately he’s not in a hotel conference room, he’s floating facedown in the lake next to her house, clutching a photo of Chloe. Who murders an accountant on a business trip—it just doesn’t add up. When Rip becomes the prime suspect, Chloe is determined to find the secret murderer. But if she isn’t careful, it may be closing time and lights out for her . . .
My family and I made a trip to Destin, Florida in the Florida Panhandle at the beginning of March to celebrate my mom’s 95th birthday and my birthday! I thought I shared some photos from that fun week. Thanks so my daughter, one of my birthday presents was a surprise visit from my dear friend Carol Williams. We’ve been laughing together since ninth grade. Carol actually met my dad before me. He was her eighth grade math teacher.

I love this photo that I snapped as we flew in. It shows several things that are mentioned in the Chloe Jackson Sea Glass Saloon mysteries. You can see the two sand bars — one close to shore and the second further out. On the lower right you can see one of the seventeen coastal dune lakes surrounded by trees. And if you look closely at the upper right corner and spot the Choctowhatchee Bay. It shows you how narrow this strip of land is!

Yes, that’s a shark! It’s the first one I’ve ever seen and this is from eight stories up. Look how close it is to the shore. We’ve always heard that there are sharks on the other side of the second sandbar but this guy was close.

I hope you enjoyed the photos and I hope you love Three Shots to the Wind! Signed copies are available at One More Page bookstore.

Congratulations on your new book! Love the cover! Destin is a place I’ve wanted to visit for a long time, it looks so warm and inviting. Looks like you really enjoyed your time there, good for you!
Thank you! It is beautiful, but at peak seasons (summer and spring break) the traffic is terrible!
Congratulations! Can’t wait to read this next book!
Thanks so much!
Congratulations on the release of “Three Shots to the Wind”! May it be followed up by many others because I love family celebrations. 🙂
My favorite celebration was the year hubby and I celebrated fall. It was our first big trip when retirement started. We had always wanted to see the New England states in the fall. The trip lasted 34 days because excluding Sunday and holidays that was as long as the USPS would hold our mail. The trip was perfect! Hubby had never seen the ocean so we drove up the entire coastline of Maine, stayed at the eastern most point in the U.S. during the eclipse. Stayed in the northern most point in the U.S. during a frigid snow (well for us any ways). Then we explored the interior of the state before headed over to the other states. You flight photo reminds me of our helicopter ride over Niagara Falls. We explored castles. But most of all just seeing the gorgeous colors as the seasons changed was amazing and made it a very memorable trip as we celebrated FALL.
Thank you for the chance to win a copy of “Three Shots to the Wind”. Shared and hoping. Would love to read and review.

What a fabulous trip!
Sherry, I’m so excited for you! Congratulations on the release of Book #3 in the Sea Glass Saloon series. I love the first two and Three Shots to the Wind is on my TBR list.
What a great birthday celebration for both you and your mom. The photos are terrific! I do have a friend who has been my pal since high school and when we get together, we are like 2 kids again. My favorite celebrations these days involve grandchildren, as it should be I suppose. But my husband and I still manage to get away and celebrate birthdays and anniversaries together, and I feel lucky that we can.
Those sound like great celebrations!
Congratulations! I can’t wait to read about Chloe again, have really enjoyed this series!!
Thank you!
Congratulations on the new book! What wonderful pics, too! I love to see the shore, but I’m just as happy with takeout in the living room if I’m with my family. (Which has turned out to be a very good thing in the last few years…}
That is a good thing!
Fantastic cover and blurb, Sherry. Kudos on your latest book!
Thanks so much, Grant!
Congratulations, my friend! Love these pictures, and can’t wait to read the latest Chloe adventure.

Thank you so much!
Happy birthday and book birthday! Thanks for sharing the wonderful photos of your Florida celebration.
I have a close friend I’ve known since early childhood who now lives in Florida. For our 65th birthdays she flew up to NYC and we went on a road trip. First to NJ to visit friends, then back to NY to spend a couple of days in Corning at the Museam of Glass. After visiting a few wineries (and buying a few bottles!) we ended up spending a few days with a friend from high school, including a visit to Cooperstown, the Baseball Hall of Fame and the art museum. Best birthday ever!
What a fabulous birthday! I went to the Corning Museum of Glass when I was in fifth grade. I’m guessing it’s changed a bit since then!
Congratulations on the birth of the book! I look forward. The concept sounds great. And the pictures are wonderful! Couldn’t we all use some days like that!
It’s chilly here this morning so I wish I was there!
CONGRATULATIONS on your exciting new book, which I must get! Thank you for sharing your absolutely wonderful photos…they are just what I needed in this dreary, rainy morning. Thank you for sharing your writing skills with us, your loyal fans!!!!! Luis at ole dot travel

It was such a great trip! I had a hard time picking out pictures to post!
Sherry-Congratulations on your latest book! The pictures of Destin are awesome! My favorite celebration was when my sister-in-law turned 60 and my neice drove her up the coast to Maine and the rest of our family were waiting in her bed and breakfast room when they arrived. Fun times!
What a fabulous surprise!
Great pictures of Destin! We love it there. Congratulations on the new book!
Thank you so much. The beaches in Destin are so stunning!

Thanks so much, JC!
Congrats on the book release. It’s a great addition to the series, despite the fact that you killed off an accountant. 😉
Laughing! Sorry about that, but the book proved accountants aren’t boring!
Hi, I really enjoyed the first two books
Yay! Thank you!
Ooooh, this book sounds so good! No need to enter me. Happy to buy! And the photos of Destin are wonderful. Congratulations!
Thank you, Susan! You have been such a memorable part of my writing journey!
I feel the same way about you! 🙂
I was so sad for the end of the Garage Sale Mysteries but do like Chloe Jackson and glad that you are still writing fun to read books. We first went to Destin in the 1980s when it was a sleepy little town with no spring breakers and no high rises. We stayed at a small mom and pop motel with every room facing the water and right on the water. Adirondack chairs on our little porch. Every room was basically a little cottage though they were all attached. Long gone. Your photos are beautiful but I long for the old days when it was nothing but pure bliss and hardly any tourists. But I digress. Many favorite trips, but most memorable was when Hubby Dearest cooked fried chicken and macaroni and cheese on a Coleman stove in Daniel Boone State Park in the late 1970s after we swam in the ice-cold river. Can’t wait to read the book. Happy Book launch!
The first time I visited Destin was around 1988 and it was so much smaller then with maybe two high rises. It was so lovely!
Hi Sherry—LOVE the pictures!! Sounds like another wonderful book—looking forward to reading it.
I’m so glad you love the pictures!
Glorious photos, Sherry! I’ll have a mermaid’s brew and I’ll give a shout-out to the people of Destin. In 2017 we went to Destin to escape Hurricane Irma. Conditions in our part of the state (SW Fl) were so bad that we ended up staying for five days while things settled. Destin opened it’s arms and hearts to us.
That is lovely to hear!
Super congratulations, Sherry on your release! I love all your photos, but then, you always take such lovely ones!
Thank you, Jessie!
Happy book birthday! I love celebrations of all kinds because Lord knows, we all need something to celebrate nowadays! Love your books, reading them makes me want to celebrate!
That is a lovely thing to say! Thank you!
Hi and congratulations on you new release from the Windy City! Looking forward to reading the book and wondering what warm weather feels like.
Thank you so much! This has been a cold spring!
Wahoo and big hugs for the new release! Congratulations!
Thank you, Patti!
Happy book birthday! I love the pictures. My husband and I were blessed to be able to throw a 25th wedding anniversary party for ourselves. We had a wonderful time. It means so much to me that we were able to celebrate with an uncle and my stepmom who are now deceased as well as my Mom who is in a nursing home. We all had a wonderful time. Thank you so much for sharing. God bless you.
What a lovely celebration!
Reading about your trip to Destin brought back wonderful memories of my visit there with my daughter’s family 16 months ago. Sigh!!
I’m so glad you got to go! The beaches are so stunning!
I love your books. The title is a real fun one this time. Looking forward to reading your new book.
My husband and I are celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary in October instead of December since we are going to go on a mediterranean cruise from Athens to Lisbon. So looking forward to this. We have waited to travel since 2018.
Happy almost anniversary! What a lovely way to celebrate!
